The Marines are coming to town — and they’re just in time for Christmas.
Several thousand children received an early Christmas wish thanks to the annual “Toys for Tots” program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps .
The annual giveaway took place at the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan showroom on 11th Ave. and 53rd St. — co-sponsored by Joseph Cinque & the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences — the event was launched to ensure that less fortunate children experience the joys of Christmas. We managed to give out more than 8,500 toys to 1,500 children.
The FDNY and the NYPD were also on hand spreading holiday cheer to the children.
Notable guests that came out to support the event were: Ed Mangano-Nassau County Executive, Joseph Perri- President/CEO of Gold Coast Bank, Major Chuck Kilbride-USMC Ret., Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney, and James Carver-President Nassau County Police Benevolent Association.
The Toys for Tots program began collecting new, unwrapped toys in October in preparation for the spectacular giveaways, which are conducted in communities where Marine Corps Reserve Units are located.
Joseph Cinque, President AAHS along with his Star Diamond Team would like to thank everyone that attended the event. Your support made it possible to bring Joy & Happiness, placing great big smiles on many children’s faces!!!!
Good Tidings to All and to All the Best Wishes for a Joyous Holiday Season!!!
